Hotel Danieli, Venice

Sitting on the hotel’s rooftop at sunrise overlooking the magnificent view is what I am looking for the most. I enjoy the peaceful moments. In a few hours, tourists on mass will take over and trample down Venice. Feeling guilty, as I am a tourist myself. When outside, I try to blend in with the locals. When a mass of tourists turn left, I turn right. When they capture a cafeteria, I look for a less crowded one. Still, I remain a tourist. A grateful one.
